Truth 2 Youth:
Alternatives for Hawaiian Teens

Once again the six poetry workshops conducted by the young slam poets electrified the 496 students who attended. These poets give young people in a poorly performing high school with a bad reputation their first taste of speaking out creatively about social injustice. Many of the students attending this school are victims of class & race discrimination, and come from broken or severely struggling households. see pictures

2013 Funding Schedule

Please be sure to read the article at the top of this page.  We are NOT accepting any new Letters of Inquiry for the 2013 Funding Cycle.  In the next few months we will post the decisions we have made (and why) with reference to grants to be awarded kin 2013.

The next funding cycle will be in 2014.  We will post on our website in sufficient time for you to apply.
